this was the sunset view of the bay on our last evening in puerto vallarta...they were tremendous every night...and the sun sinks surprisingly fast once it hits the sea's horizon line.

these catfish live at the marina at beechfork lake...they just hang out around the bridge and wait for people to feed them...it's weird to hear the sound they make as the swim in, around, and over each other.

this was taken at duck, nc...late one evening towards the end of may, 2007. there was no post-processing but there appears to be some sort of pinkish-reddish ring around the moon. what could be better than a clear sky, full moon, and the waves rolling in. (sorry for the giant size of the pic when you open it...i forgot to adjust it for the internet...could make a nice wallpaper at that size though...if you're so inclined)

this was a sculptured brace holding up a balcony on a building in the marais district of paris. i thought the detail was exceptional for a building with no specific import or significance. february 2007.

these flowers scour the dunes of north carolina's outer banks. they're like a wonderful 'good morning' every day. you can almost watch them track the sun with their colorful heads as it moves across the sky. lovely, lovely flowers. may 2007.

my eyeball...november 2006. what does our eye...particularly our iris...say about us? i'd say mine fairly well reflects my personality...easy, calm, hazel at the perimeter moving towards a fiery, volatile reddish-orange at the center.
