stewie is a huntington icon...mascot for stewart's hot dog stand on 5th avenue. this shot was taken at the 3rd annual 'west virginia hot dog festival' held at pullman square. nothing like a psychotic lookin' weiner to spice up your photoblog! ;)

this shot was taken from the boat docks at adam's landing in the evening. it is of the proctorville bridge connecting ohio and west virginia.

ocean moon

this was taken at duck, nc...late one evening towards the end of may, 2007. there was no post-processing but there appears to be some sort of pinkish-reddish ring around the moon. what could be better than a clear sky, full moon, and the waves rolling in. (sorry for the giant size of the pic when you open it...i forgot to adjust it for the internet...could make a nice wallpaper at that size though...if you're so inclined)

building detail

this was a sculptured brace holding up a balcony on a building in the marais district of paris. i thought the detail was exceptional for a building with no specific import or significance. february 2007.

flower

these flowers scour the dunes of north carolina's outer banks. they're like a wonderful 'good morning' every day. you can almost watch them track the sun with their colorful heads as it moves across the sky. lovely, lovely flowers. may 2007.

pucker

this pucker was taken in winter. a bit of chapping going on. and possibly taken while (or slightly after) drinking some red wine (note the purple tinge...particularly to the lower lip). december 2006.

window

my eyeball...november 2006. what does our eye...particularly our iris...say about us? i'd say mine fairly well reflects my personality...easy, calm, hazel at the perimeter moving towards a fiery, volatile reddish-orange at the center.

this was taken on one of the few cloudy days that we were at north carolina's outer banks. the juxtaposition of the dune fences, the dune, the surf line, and the row of clouds mirroring the coastline were intriguing. may 2007.
